Proof I’m a real person.
(not AI)
Hajimemashite (nice to meet you)!
My name is Yui. Originally Japanese, very Aussie, now living across the Tasman in Queenstown, NZ.
I’m a creative who’s been floating around the printing and design industry for 15 years (I have Asian heritage, I will look 15 until I’m 85) — long enough to know what actually works, what definitely doesn’t, and why some designs should never, ever go to print without a bleed.
I specialise in print-based design, which means I care deeply about paper, texture, finishes and how things feel in real life — not just how they look on a screen. (Although that matters too.)
I love simple ideas, playful details, and designs that feel human. The thoughtful kind. The slightly whimsical kind. The kind that lets personality shine without shouting.
If we work together, consider me your creative co-conspirator — here to shape your ideas, refine the good bits, and gently question the questionable ones.
Sachi and Ko Creative is named after my two furry babies, Sachi and Tomoko (= Sachi + Ko). They very much co-own the business and consider themselves my main contributors and distractors. Their primary role is quality control (and sitting on my keyboard).
My husband Lachlan (a fantastic builder and even better photographer) is often behind the camera when we’re shooting, which makes this little studio a genuine family affair.
If you’ve got an idea rattling around in your head, I’m all ears. Send it through, and half-formed thoughts are welcome!
